Blacksmithing

For the last 2 weeks, I have been taking an artist's blacksmith course at the Haliburton School of the Arts with Sandra Dunn. We have been learning how to work steel in forges and cut, bend and shape it to make a variety of tools and decorative elements.

Here is my first project - a coat rack. I am looking forawrd to the next 2 weeks with Pierre Bedard.

I definitely got the bug and have plans to set up a small hobby forge!
