This home is nestled in the rolling hills of southern Ontario. With expansive views of both the front and back fields, the covered porches are a wonderful place to take in the serenity while enjoying an outdoor fireplace.

We started the construction of our home in the summer of 1999 and moved in that winter. Over the years, it has evolved and we can honestly say that we feel it is now done!

The homes features are: -slab on grade foundation with in-floor radiant heating -post and beam log frame, some exposed some hidden -straw bale walls with cement/lime base plaster and lime finish plaster -passive solar design -geothermal heating -Grid-tied solar array making the home Net-zero+ (make more energy than we use) -triple glazed windows -Enviroshake roof

The blacksmith shop -my son Andrew built the forge for me!
